Stezio
Engineer & Idea Maker · 2026
AI-powered adapter and web platform that upgrades standard analog stethoscopes into guided, clinical-grade home monitoring tools. Uses AR-based Digital Mirror for real-time anatomical guidance and AI Signal Validation for clinical-grade audio quality.
Problem & Approach
Telehealth has a critical blind spot: doctors can see patients but cannot hear them. For 6.7 million Heart Failure patients, existing digital stethoscopes are too expensive ($449+) and difficult to use correctly, leading to poor data and $30 billion in preventable readmission costs. Stezio bridges this gap with a low-cost adapter that upgrades any standard stethoscope into a guided, smart device.
Solutions & Impact
Stezio solves the usability barrier with a browser-based "Digital Mirror." Using Augmented Reality (AR), we visually guide the patient's hand to the correct anatomical position in real-time. Our AI then performs "Signal Validation" — filtering noise and confirming clinical-grade audio quality — empowering doctors to monitor patients remotely and intervene before hospitalization is needed.
Learning & Reflection
Building Stezio taught me to engineer for high-stakes environments. I learned to navigate regulatory constraints by pivoting our AI strategy from "Automated Diagnosis" to "Signal Quality Control," ensuring FDA alignment. Technically, this project deepened my expertise in Edge AI, integrating physical hardware with real-time Computer Vision (MediaPipe) and audio processing directly in the browser.
